THE ISLE OF SKYE

I love Scotland, have been visiting it for almost a decade now and both the Isles of Skye and Arran in particular are like a second home for me. Skye’s landscapes are made by the forces of erosion, but it is Skye’s tides, rivers and waterfalls that give them their unique look. I understand that many people wouldn’t consider Scottish weather exactly as ideal; for me, on the other hand, Skye’s weather is just perfect. The Isle’s ever-changing skies, fast-running clouds, its mist and fog, its rainstorms and the incredible light that follows them are extremely inspiring, covering the whole range between dramatic, scary, sweet and intimate. Exploring and photographing the Isle’s wild and remote landscapes under such wonderful skies is an unforgettable experience; every time I go to Skye I come back with completely different images of locations I revisit, as well as with images of newly discovered ones.
